Default What to do with my headlights? Help and tips!

I'm new to this whole car modification stuff, and I was wondering if I could get some tips on changing my headlights.

The first thing I wanted to do with them is install some Halo Projector headlights (I look at one of the new BMW's with them and I drool a little). Now I've looked around, but I cant find any Halo Projector headlights for the XD, but I can for the TC and XB.... Am I missing something here or are we XD owners being excluded from the party?

The second thing I wanted to do is install the Auti LED light strip on the bottom of the headlight. I looked around and found this:
Amazon Amazon
Has anyone ever tried installing these to the XD headlight? If so, what was the outcome/complications?

The third thing I wanted to do was change the color of the light. My ideal would be orange (orange is my favorite color). Any tips on changing the lighting? What's easiest to install? What looks best on gray XD? LED or Halogen pros and cons to them both?

Thanks for the help!

If you want to make it look really nice, the I say do a retrofit to hid projectors and then get the halo led ring for it to your liking. Look at "the retrofit source" they will sell you the whole kit. You just need to hack up your headlight to put it in.

sadly they dont made projectors for our xD. we got excluded from the party a few times in the parts department to be honest..

good news tho, HIDs are said to go really well into our headlight housings and not scatter light all over the place (ill find out soon as i have some to put in). you could try going for a lower temp HID for your "orange" color, but its going to be more yellow than orange methinks.

currently the only way to get projectors is to crack open the headlights and do a retrofit as said earlier. doable, but obviously not ideal.

HIDs work excellent in the D's. I have 6000k Bi-Xeon HID. no real scatter at all. A Retrofit is time consuming, expensive, and if you mess up at all, it gets really expensive.

Default xD Headlight Options

All...

I am about to do the HID Projector conversion... it's going to be somewhat labor intensive... So if your not crafty... It's best to do what you can with whats available... As of now I'm running 6K HID Bi-Xeon and the LED Strips mentioned earlier in the post... $24.99 for two at your local AutoZone... You can get them in different lengths to accomplish your vision. I also have a Tinted Headlight applique from Stickercity.com... http://www.stickercity.com/Scion-xD-...2008-2011.html don't worry the pics represented are not the product but the product mailed to you is for the xD. Lemme say applying these was involved and tedious at best. It's one sheet per headlight but it has several cuts in the film to fit the buldges on the xD headlight. I flipped when I took it outta the box. They went on okay and I've since trimmed them to do what I want. But still it looks sicKKK.

I'm at work so I can't put pics in the thread but you can check'em on my FB... williams.john.jr@gmail... look for "Baby D" or any of the Car show albums...
