145 wheel HP Xd Mods

We have a dyno comparison between our stock 1.8L Dual VVTi motor (Scion Xd) and the same motor equipped with a new intake manifold, dedicated air intake, 2.5-inch cat back and (no cat) off-road pipe. The power output of the 1.8L jumped from 119 wheel hp (Dynojet) to 145 hp, the majority of which came from the new aluminum intake manifold. We hope to have all parts in production and even make the intake manifold emissions legal if sufficient interest exists. We sent an e-mail over to the moderator about advertising our products on this site but have not heard back. We are currently working on a new MAF upgrade and then the low-cost turbo system will be tested. We would like to post the Dynojet graph but aren't sure if it is possible. Any suggestions would be helpful (yes, we did read the posting procedure). Thanks. We can e-mail Jpeg if someone can get it posted.

do you have a website or anything?

145-hp Xd

The web site for Dynatek racing is www.dynatekracing.com, but it is currently being revised to include info on products other than Mustang/Ford. I will post photos of the production pieces as soon as they are available.

Quite interested here!!

Do you have any pics? I have a Toyota Yaris 08 equipped with the 1.8L 2ZR-FE engine... and would love to have 25 extra HP's

I would love to see some more detailed info abou the improvements that you're claming. Those are big number for a manifold.

Do you have reading of the A/F during your testing? I wonder if the stock ECU can make up for all the extra air by itself... Din't you used any kind of piggy back to to tune it?

145-HP Xd mods

The power gains depicted in the graph are for the intake manifold, CAI and exhaust mods, though the intake manifold alone on the VVTi motor increased the power output from 119 hp to 136 hp. We logged air/fuel on all runs and actually changes to MAF orientation was more critical than changes to the intake manifold. That MAF is very sensitive to changes in orientation. If positioned properly, the new intake manifold will not alter stock air/fuel curve. No piggy back tuning was needed.

this all sounds very good please keep us updated.

what inches is the intake?

What do you mean by that? This is the intake manifold... not the intake as in a CAI

The diameter of the intake is not the most important part of the design

UnTouChbLe_D 03-06-2008 12:29 PM

sorry mis-read, but i am interested on the intake manifold how much 'cause the site doesn't load.... i have currently a custom intake, 2 1/4 pipe and with srt-4 resonator and it sounds nice and the performance was awesome, looking for more upgrades, any tips just let me know...

any more info on this thing?

SHU 04-29-2008 06:44 AM

mpg???

What do these mods do to the gas mileage?

pickledchang 04-29-2008 02:23 PM

this would be one of those "depends on how you drive it" deals and how its designed. chances are that if it provides more power with the same amount of gas being injected, you will get better gas mileage if you drive it the same, but having 25 more hp is going to be hard not to use on a constant basis.

MtnRunner 09-08-2008 11:00 PM

any progress on the mods?????

pickledchang 09-09-2008 02:58 AM

i got a hold of the guy about a month or so ago on the phone, and he basically said they are not going to pursue this unless there is "plenty of interest"... so if they still have this project on the back burner, it would be up to a lot of us to contact him and basically put money down on this.

MtnRunner 09-09-2008 09:33 PM

bummer cause it seems to get any good amount of xd owners to get up and start bugging companies to get us parts it takes a major fire under the ___....
