Default 2AZ swap

Has anyone looked into this yet? You can pick up engine and tranny for about a grand, the cost of the swap would be the killer and in my case the 5speed swap too. I just wanna know if it will fit without any major modifications.

i would love to do a K20 swap from a 2006-newer Civic Si. six speeds, limited slip diff, 200 hp, 8000 redline, and tough. not the fragile 4cyl. engines from Toyota. i really like my 2008 Xd, but the drivetrain sucks. and no aftermarket support, to boot.

K20? Get a civic bro lol . Those are overrated. 2zz is the way to go. 160hp (our car is light to compensate) 6spd lsd 8k redline stock too. 2zz xd will be a civic si eater. I want to get the swap going but it wouldn't pass smog. Until I find someone to help me out in md, I can't swap

hey, xD Kidd91, I pretty much was saying it tongue-in-cheek(joking). i bought my 2008xD in December 2007, soon after they came out, and was told by the dealer's parts department that TRD was releasing new performance parts for the xD on a continuing basis. that was partly why i bought the xD. then the economy went to crap, and TRD left the xD out to dry. also, the shifting of the manual tranny is so rubbery and imprecise, i missed a shift when i was getting on the freeway. driving normally, not hot-rodding! instant broken engine! i'm 46, and have been driving manuals for over 30 years, including a couple pretty fast cars, and have NEVER had that happen! i'm just frustraded...

That's one hard missed shift! I've had a missed shift once or twice, but usually ended up just grinding a bit. After I got the trd short shifter, I installed Dr. Isotope bushings, and that firmed everything up pretty good. Sucks to hear about your motor.

While my parents are out. I been lazy to driving my stick shift so I been driving mothers 9gth rolla auto. And they have larger final gear ratios than our cars 0_o .. hwy 80mph at 3k rolla. Xd 70mph at 3k stick if I'm not mistaking. Anyone else sees this?
