Default Changed belt; still screeching

My 08 XD has been screeching a bit on start up, and often does it when I first turn after starting up (turning out of a parking spot for instance).

It does it regardless of whether the AC is on.

I changed the belt (Gates brand) and it's still doing it. What else could this be?

I haven't looked in our cars for it but in my RT it had a seperate power steering belt which screeched only when I was turning the car at low speeds (ie parking spaces). I'll repost if someone else doesn't if our cars have one or not when I get the chance to look in my D.

I'm thinking there's only one belt--but not sure.
Anyway, in my experience, if the belt is screeching after a change, it probably needs an adjustment. Mine did that after changing it and hubby just tightened it up a little more.

How were the pulleys themselves when you were changing the belt? Belt could also be overtightened.
