What's the diff in short ram and cold air intake besides the size? I'm trying to decide if I want short ram or cold air

There really isn't much of a difference in our cars with add either actually there isn't much of a difference with any car.

So do you just take off the box and filter then apply the couplers with the filter tighten and that's that? Will 3.5 fit for 2012 XD?

What would be good to add besides chip 4-2-1 header by weapon r and intake?

Also if I took off the box and put on the spectre filter, which size would fit the 2012 XD?

Here's what I have guys. Ripped out the air box and put on a 3 1/2 inch Spectre filter. My buddy made me a mounting bracket real quick coming off the battery. Don't mind all the salt hopefully the cold weather will break and I can clean her up. Let me know what you guys think.
