Fuel Smell
 

Hello, I'm having a problem with a fuel smell coming through the vents with recirculation off and my mechanic has never seen anything like this. it's a 2008 xD that has been up to date with maintenance, no codes, no performance issues, no major problems except for the smell. It happens at idle and especially when the engine bay fan turns on, a burst of the fuel smell with come through the vents. The fuel injectors rings have been replaced and everything is dry around them. My mechanic smoke tested it, checked the tubeings, cleaned the engine bay, took out the fuel pump and ran it, replaced the oil cap, and everything seems fine. Yet still smells like fuel. Any ideas?
