Default lightweight flywheel for the xD? Really?

So I am at about 150k on my little xD daily and she seems to be close to ready for a clutch. So I hop on the ebay machine to see the 10 million lightweight flywheel options and clutch options available for every car on the planet. Low and behold... ZERO OPTIONS for the xD? A few clutch options but no one makes a lightweight flywheel for the xD? Really?

While we are on the subject, does anyone know if the flywheel on the xD has a counterbalance weight and if so does it align to the balance shafts? Do any of you have a link to an xD balance shaft removal thread? Tried searching but seems I am a failure. Only tC stuff.

BTW, almost 150K on my 08 and no water pump failure I am very lucky but going to replace it anyways here shortly along with the belt that I have gotten 150K out of :D

Congrats on not having a faulty w/p like the rest of us. Please update if you do find a new clutch so the rest of us can scoop one up as well.

Spec is updating their site to reflect all the clutches they offer for the xD as they have a wide selection.

Other good news - Just spoke with spec and I will have a flywheel on the way to them and they will be developing a lightweight flywheel for all of us here soon So far they have been outstanding to work with.

Just an update. Received the flywheel from a wrecked xD. Good news it that it is a standard flywheel and not counterbalanced or any weird stuff. It is now on the way to Spec who will be giving us (and the yaris / corolla guys that share our 1. the first lightweight flywheel option!

Do you plan on doing the work yourself? If so, a project thread would be awesome.

And if/when SPEC does offer stuff, guess who your favorite SPEC retailer is, for forum discounts!!!
