You probably could retrofit the supercharger. Instead of trying to bolt it directly to the block, why not make a sort of mounting plat that will bolt into where our intake manifold does, and then has the mounting holes of the 1ZZ or 1NZ to fit the supercharger on to.

I'm sure it can be done, but its going to take a little extra money and some ingenuity.

dont know a lot about superchargers, but the one for the tC is a style that could possibly be fairly easy to fit... from what i remember, the pulleys are on the same side, only the exhaust and intake are swapped. looks like it would just be a longer belt, custom brackets, and piping for starters. not sure how long the supercharger is and if there would be enough room, but i suppose its possible.

Supercharger retrofit... interesting idea.

A manifold adapter should be easy to make. Just take the OE manifold and the SC manifold to a good machine shop.

A couple of thoughts... the pulley in the blitz charger is a clutch style pulley... in other words... not easily (cheap) exchangeable. And the 2ZR uses a wider belt than the 1NZ. That would have to be worked out.

Not saying it can not be done!

A TC charger can be found for cheap!! That would be another option...

There are other superchargers around that could work... perhaps one from a Merc kompressor...

If the belt for the 2ZR is wider than the 1NZ, why not fabricate a longer shaft on the idler/tensioner and add an idler off of a 1NZ?

I personally am not a fan of the supercharger. Robs HP and can never get the full potential of it. You will be in constant boost though.

I love superchargers! lol. But It would be interesting. Unfortunally I dont know much information when it comes to force induction but the way castrex puts it. sounds easier then custom making a turbo kit lol

but the advantages are instant and linear power delivery instead of laggy immense power delivery. depends on how important car control is.

They have their pro'd and cons ... I've always been a fan of turbo. The supercharger for the 1NZ isn't worth the extra 30hp at all .. it's like you're paying $100 per 1 whp gain lol.

you get about a 7% increase in engine power per PSI, so it depends on how much boost pressure you use to make more power.

also, you're so obsessed with the engine swap, are you prepared for all the time, work, money and knowledge that go into it?

do you know somebody with an xD who can do without one for potentially several months to a year? do you have the engine, transmission, ecu, and layout figured out? do you know how to fabricate and make the new parts you need? new harnesses sensors etc.

here, read this, tell me if you think you have what it takes for performing a new engine swap: http://www.caranddriver.com/features...gon_vi-feature
