Oil Change intervals?

Hi guys

I'm new to the forums and to the Scion xD. Recently purchased a Certified used 2012 Scion xD with 46k miles. Trying figure out the oil change intervals on synthetic oil. In my previous car it was 3k miles/every 3 months.

Synthetic oil changes can be done at 10K intervals but with how cheap oil is (if DIY) I change mine every 5K due to driving conditions (mainly in town). M1 0W20 with the green cap is an awesome oil and can be had for $22ish dollars from Amazon.

I bought my '08 brand new in '09. I've been changing mine every 8-10k miles. Pennzoil platinum oil, OEM filters. I'll be hitting 170k miles probably in August. No issues yet!
