short shifter question

Default short shifter question

Can i install a short shifter without the base amd cbale bushings or is itandatory to install it with tje bushings?

you dont need the cage/linkage bushings. The Megan SSK comes with base bushings. I have it and would recommend it. But to answer your question, no. The bushings arnt necessarily needed. They are fairly easy to do and will stiffen up the shift a little bit.

i was asking cuz on the twmperfrmace page they sell the in cabin short shifter and you can add the bushings wich made me onde if they were necessarily needed...so i dont rlly need to buy the bushings.....wat are the pros and cons of the busings? and hwre can i get the megna ssk?

dude please proof read before you post please. its extremely difficult to read when your trying to figure out what 80% of the post is supposed to say. but to answer your question you dont need the bushings. most people dont care about having them. i have them and i love them, makes everything nice and tight.

Aftermarket bushings aren't required, but I recommend solid ones to get a better, solid feel. They really compliment the short shifter.

I have the TRD SSK and recently installed Dr Isotopes cable bushing. It's the best $28 I have spent on the car. If you are going to do the SSK I would do the cable bushing while you are at it.
