how does all that effect your mpg's? I was thinking about doing the same thing, but worried how that would effect the mpgs. nice sound.

 

i still average 31mpg, and i drive like a jackass. i can get 35-40mpg cruising at low speeds (40-50mph)

 

So just to be clear, you have the weapon r headers, with a mid pipe and the strup cel relay, and you still get 31 mpgs...thats pretty good. Can anyone explain to me how the strup cel relay works? and why you would want to full your O2 censer

 

You basically trick the computer into thinking the O2 sensor's are different so that the check engine light is off. In some states a check engine light being is a reason not to give an inspection decal and if they find out you have removed CATS then your ___ might be paying a nice fine. For some reason though the domestic guys can tune this out and don't need a module.

 

Ha, I see, so do I assume this is done with a wide band O2 sensor right? (So the regular sense is just relocted correct?) How much do tunes cost anyways?

 

tomorrow i'm taking my xd to a friends shop to get the work done on the exhaust that i've been wanting for quite some time. I'm finally getting the catless s-pipe installed, then getting the muffler cut off before the resonator and replaced with a straight pipe that splits to dual bully exhaust tips. so it won't have any cats or resonators, just a straight pipe and dual exhaust tips. i'm running 2 1/4 inch piping for the straight pipes so i don't lose power.

 

Awesome...Check out my new setup from RPM in the other thread...Glad to see some performance things starting to happen for the xD's...And so everyone know's, the midpipe by RPM will mount up to the Weapon header

How bad is the drone at interstate speeds?

 

pretty loud, not gonna lie. it's on the verge of being too loud for me. but i like it. i'm getting my car dynomatted anyway, so that will make it better for me.

 

The dynomat should help out alot, their is very little sound deadening on the floor pan.

Yea mine is LOUD when I get on it...But if I'm holding it at a steady speed it's tolerable...Helps having a kick a$$ sound system too By the way, your exhaust sounds great and looks awesome...
