all intakes are about the same. injen is a great intake with great gain. it's about like 8 HP. but seriously, you not gonna feel it. so get one that you can afford.

gotta agree with SR.
do you participate in a lot of shows? it would be good to get an intake that will match the interior or the exterior of the color of your car. For example, if you have a blue tC, AEM makes a blue colored intake. There is also a thread that compares different types of intakes and the amount of HP gains so check that out as well.

you will feel a better pull through the mid to high end rpm with the Intake might not be much but youll notice it,

for those who says it doesnt so anything of course it does if it gives you 1 or 2 hp then that means it does something and yea it will look nice underneathe the hood,
is it worth it well thats your decision,i have the injen CAI spent $$$$$ on it,but im happy with it a nice 3 inch tubing unlike ebays 1 inch tubing its bettewr built then others ive seen, but its the filter that actually makes the difference

ill sound nice when WOT and give you some ponies

I went with the Weapon-R intake sounds amazing noticed a big difference and the maintenance on it is way to easy no oil on the filter just clean it with the solution and water and ur ready to go :)

I have an Injen intake and I LOVE it. I was extremelly picky and listened to a ton of brands on YouTube. lol Got it from trdsparks.com for about $299. (great company btw)

x2 on that, but i bought mine for $250 shipped from a different retailer,my injen is loud but sounds good

with the xd a lot of people are just unbolting the stock air box and DIY'ing a little short ram by tacking on a high flow filter, or DIY'ing a cold air by directing your own piping which is extremely easy with where the intake lands on our cars.

i have injen cai on my rs 1.0 gained 2 mpgs and great midrange power also like where it picks up air behind bumper and not in engine compartment found good price on ebay new

partyinmybox 06-21-2010 10:52 PM

Go with what looks the nicest because the difference in horsepower will probably be negligible.

heres a shot of mine i have always loved there intakes on all my vehicles very agressive sound and the power gain was pretty good thinking about going to there new cold air but this does just fine.

RS1348 06-22-2010 03:50 PM

nice short ram cai,any change in mpgs?

Scion xDanno 06-22-2010 05:51 PM

those are pretty sick looking, do you guys know if there is any change in difficulty when in stalling a cold air and short ram?

RS1348 06-22-2010 06:07 PM

CAI only takes little longer to install because filter is below headlite and behind bumper cover, short ram way easier

mixD 06-23-2010 01:28 PM

Yeah i noticed a little better mileage after i put it on and the cool thing about this intake is weapon r always sends you a bunch of extra stuff when u purchase anything from them so it comes with a realy nice flex tube that can attach to the end of the filter and be run down into the fender to make it work like a cai.

two.0XD 07-16-2010 03:51 PM

how is the quality of those weapon r filters? how big is the outlet too?
In my Old talon I had an Apexi filter, that thing was amazing.

Ask yourself. Is your car faster in the winter? It isn't.

CAI are cosmetic adds that do nothing in real life. I'll beat ANYONE head to head with a CAI vs. stock if they have no driver training. Not being cocky, but you will NOT get anything from a CAI besides something to do on a weekend. Sorry, but despite the dismal dynos shown on manufacturers sites, besides forced induction, there is no substitute for basic training.
