Lift-up back door

Hello. Has anyone ever taken off the plastic parts of the lift-up back door? We were able to take off the top part (that covers the led light) and the 2 small parts on the side. Our problem is the big central portion that basically covers the entire bottom part. Does anyone know how to do it?

Thanks.
Sheng.

Pull hard...They are all just push in pins...Just took mine off to do my rear wiper delete mod...

That was exactly what my bf did earlier today and I think he broke something on the inside. We heard a a snap and I didn't let him continue pulling on the bottom part. He actually broke a part of the clip on one of the small plastic that sits to the side.

Do you by any chance have a pic of this being taken apart?

Thanks.

This is the only one I have of everything taken off...The push pins are white in color and will stay with the piece you are taking off...There are (3) small panels on the back door itself...Two are like 4inches by 4 inches and the other is much smaller...Remove those first...Also don't forget to remove the the recessed plastic handle you use to pull the hatch down with...Scions are like legos. you just gotta pull hard and they come apart...We didn't break any of the pins when we did it, so I guess we got lucky...

The link doesn't work but thanks a lot for the pics. I'd have him do this this weekend. He's got school and work tomorrow until friday. By the way, how do you remove the recessed plastic handle part?

Thank you again.

The link worked the 2nd time I tried.

The recessed handle just pulls right out...
