I realize this is an old threat but I'm really unsure about the VSS wiring.
I'm about to install a Clarion NX404 head unit, and was just curious about this damn VSS I keep reading about.
Do you actually not need to even worry about finding that and hooking it up to the NX404? You can just completely ignore the VSS wiring and still hook up the Navi unit to the car?
I'm not sure if you do or not based on alot of the replies here. I'd rather not have to do all that extra work if it's not needed.
