Scion xD Speakers Sizes??
Thanks in advance for your answers / suggestions...
Planning to upgrade my speakers.
I was wondering what are the exact sizes of the speakers
-Front doors
-Rear doors
-Front corners (by the windows).
Also how do I remove them?
Do I just pull them out?
I just recently upgraded my stereo and seems I need to upgrade my speakers also since the stock ones doesn't seem to be strong enough to handle the premium stereo's power.
(for some period faces that would think this question is annoying, you don't have to answer it if you're just going to leave a rude comment saying why don't I search Google first before posting the thread, I did!
My iPhone is just super annoying and slow so why not ask here since this place had been one of the best and helpful site for Scion Qs anyway. Just leave the thread and don't waste your time, your choice.)
Sorry guys, just had one rude person comment about my question a while back.

you're not gonna find speakers that will fit directly like your stocks. it's gonna require some sort of modification. I'd go with 6 1/2" speakers on both front a rear. the corner ones are called tweeters. they usually come with a set of speakers depending on which ones you buy. check out www.crutchfield.com

Does the Scion premium radio have low pass filter? if so i would recommend getting a small independent sub and setting your low pass on your speakers to about 80hz, you'll instantly
notice that our stock speakers aren't that bad when they don't have to do the extra work pushing bass. sounds like it would be cost effective, give you a more acoustic sound, and be less work =],
On my Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD with the sub connected my highs are clear as day even at close to full volume, with the sub disconnected and bass output coming from my stockies
I can hardly pick it up past half way before i start getting distortion
Good Luck

to remove the speakers you have to drill out the rivets and make or buy your own custom baffles for the new 6.5 speakers. It shouldn't cost more than 20 bucks for a pair of baffles if you don't want to make it.

The rear ones fit perfectly no mods needed 6.5". the front are a PITA honestly but i made cust plates from metal.
