2008 Scion xD Concept Specs & Details
These are facts from what I just saw of the xD.
I just returned from the big deal down here in Miami.
No cameras were allowed. They were serious with the searches.
The xD is a 4 door.
The xD is not an Auris copy, at least not sheetmetal-wise.
EDIT - The engine is not certain, see the first post on page 2 for more details.
The xD has rear door speakers and cupholders.
It looks like a Matrix, but smaller, and with with the C and D pillars welded together.
The gauges are in front of the driver.
The gauges are backlit WHITE.
Ludacris performed at the release party.

HA i knew it! told you it would most likely get the same engine the tC has, that way all the TRD parts are interchangable. cheaper to make that way and more use out of the one design.

Yep, the xD engine bay seems to be a lot smaller than the 08 xB, but they were both sporting the 2.4L at the show.
There seems to be more cargo room behind the rear seats.
The center belt is really odd. It reaches from the side, across the headliner, and drops down. It's ugly.
5 lug. The displayed car was wearing Volks. They were hot.

and i bet the new models can even use the tC stock/RS's/enkie18s too.
i have just about conviced my mom to get an RS3 xA..... but maybe she'll like one of these 2 better...

yea, i heard from a friend that went to to event that this was true...they showed the new xd and the new xb..which is suppose to be longer than the current one,....and i believe that they both have the 2.4 in it. but they were pretty modded out. i know that the xb had projectors...but they took everyone's cameras and cellphones,etc.

Kinda expected that... But I would love to have seen it for myself.
And I long suspected that they would go monospec on the engines. Just choose a bodystyle and options and go. I really wanted a 1.8L, but hey, what can I do.

I don't think your correct in the statement that the engine is going to be a 2.4L what I've been told so far is that it will be a 1.8L, but not the current 1.8L we known, as they are in the process of creating a new one for the 08 Corolla coming soon, likely it was hidden for that reason,

yea i saw them both and they were ver outstanding yes i remeber asking her to open the hood woops hahaha hope it stays thay way with exception of the lip kit the gold xolored matched the volks nicely on the new box. Loved the center staged shifter like a caliber very unique.................
