creaking is probably body flex. how loud is it?

can you hear it if the radio is on at a reasonable level?

My car does some creaking when I come to a stop sometimes. Thought my struts/shocks were going bad, but apparently it's just normal wear and tear. As for the popping...That's a little odd. I've been having problems with my D lately making a metal buzzing noise at times when I accelerate. Take it to the dealer and have them look at it.

More info will help troubleshoot. Does it only happen when you're starting / stopping on a hill? Only at certain speeds? Any clue what part of the car it's coming from?

If the popping is only when you first start the car rolling, and the creaking is only at very low speeds when stopping or as you let off the brakes when starting, it may be your drums. Depending on how loud and how intermittent the noises are, it may be normal, a problem with your brakes, or something else entirely.

I will hear my back brakes creaking sometimes when I'm backing up slowly and have my foot on the brake. This is normal; that's the drums/shoes aligning themselves.

I've heard of trans mounts doing this.
