For those that have added performance mods to the xD...
how have the cars responded to bolt ons? I have considered adding a CAI and exhaust to my xD but I do not want to spend the money if all I'm going to get is a change in engine notes.

I have an Injen CAI, it was pricey, but i can defiantly feel the difference. also the sound is top notch. but unfortunately with the CAI you can only feel the difference above 2.7k rpm, so it's not very noticeable if you drive economically, but once you hit like 3k, you can easily tell the difference between a xD with a CAI and a xD without one.

I have the sp2104 Injen intake as well, and I still have the stock air box. I do not mind to dyno compare the stock vs mod for a power difference, but it is expensive to do pulls for something as trivial as 8 hp. If you live close by and can cover the cost I will oblige my car. I am curious my self.
Basically I chose Injen because of reputation and the incremental increase over the rest, but really it is just splitting hairs. One that makes more horsepower may not have the same broadness of the power band of one with less peak power. Maybe things will pick up this year for the XD and the aftermarket.

Well better yet, if a bunch of XDs with different mods show up to a shop with a dyno (and may be get a discount with a group) that way you could compare the K&N-Fujita-Takeda-Injen-Custom intakes and-or different exhaust setups. I would be available for that and would not mind paying for my self! Forgive me if I messed up any of the names I hope you know who I mean.
