I just got my Red xD last Friday and love it. I looked at the IST site and if we had those options people would be complaining about the price. I saw the circle area near the key and was wondering what it was for I guess it's for the push button start. Scion is supposed to be affordable. There is no way they could sell a car with CVT auto hvac, awd, push button start, and any other option s left off for $16k.

It'd be nice if I had the option to purchase it from JDM though...maybe someday eventually.

I wouldn't want the Scions to offer things like that. It would seriously change the price range for these cars. If you want those features, go get the car that does. You buy what you want in a car, and if the car doesn't have most of what you'd like (within reason) then search for one that does.

To understand why they offer that stuff in Japan you first need to understand a it of the Japanese Auto Market. There marketing is completely diff. than there US marketing. The IST is more of a luxury class car believe it or not.
