This scam has been around awhile. At best, it does nothing. At worse it can damage wiring depending on install method, and in the middle is decreased performance. The usual "do a search" comment will surface here shortly, this has been heavily commented on for other Scions.

Bottom line, there is no shortcut to increased power or fuel efficiency, otherwise people wouldn't be dropping $2-4k on turbos. The cheapest power / $ mod you can get is a wet nitrous kit with an RPM-controlled activation switch. If you want to improve power or efficiency and stay naturally-aspirated, Greddy, AEM and a few others make piggyback and stand-alone fuel management systems. I'm not sure what's out for the xD though. Keep in mind nothing is warranted and fuel management will require proper tuning.
