How to set auto-lock on a manual xD
I tried to follow the instructions to set auto-lock and auto-unlock on my xD, but it didn't work. The instructions were from scion.com and were for the automatic. Can you set it up that way on the manual?
What I want is for the car to lock after you get rolling (10 MPH or whatever), and for all the doors to unlock when the driver's door opens. Anybody know how to do it on a manual trans xD?

I assume the instructions your talking about are the ones in this video: http://www.scion.com/#xD_features_st...e_powerWindows
I watched the whole thing twice and guy did say that it was possible to have the doors unlock when opening the driver's door and lock when driving above 12MPH, but then he never showed how to do it on manual. But there were some parts of the video where he said to put the car in neutral and then hold down unlock button for ~5sec to acitvate the driver's door open unlock. Just try it on yours in neutral also and see what happens. If it still doesn't work then just take it to any dealer and they should config it for free.

Sanchez, that's exactly what I tries and it didn't work... Thee door would just either lock or unlock immediately and would not activate the feature. I have to take it in this week when my wheels and TRD add-ons come in, so I'll talk to the dealership about it.

I know the SL search feature is pretty crap, but using one word "autolock" and confining the search to the xD forums certainly helps finding previous threads.

Chels... thanks for the links. I guess Scion is not keeping up with their website too well... the video is still there. So, for those of you who have not followed the links that Chels posted above, the xD does not have auto lock or auto unlock features. The website is wrong according to Scion.
Too bad, because I got used to that feature on my Golf and liked it a lot. Oh, well.

Dang, I'm very disappointed to hear that scion would allow such a mistake to go on their website... and for a whole year no less. I knew autolock for the 2008 xD was not possible but I thought for sure it would be on the 2009 model. I just did search and came up with this post that confirms that no xD (08 or 09) has that feature.

This is the second time scion.com has listed wrong features for this car. Seems like I'm going to have to double check every feature when I finally buy my own xD.
