Go to traffic school if it's an option where your located...It won't affect your insurance and no points on your driver's license...It's like you never got the ticket...As for the tint, it's an equipment violation...And for the record, don't hate me, I'm a cop

Wowsers! I think my defensive driving school was 50-70 bucks in the late 90s, but I had to go to court because I was under 18. That super sucks!

what is the breakdown of the speeding vs the tint charges? jesus thats a lot of money. here in VA anything 20 over or over 80 is considered reckless. ive had 2 of them now, and gotten really lucky with just having to pay and get on with my life.

and i can never take driving school seriously. i got my license in TN which required no school for that. i come to VA where its required, and the drivers here are terrible!

If you have enough spare time you can go to court and say you do not have the money to pay for the ticket and ask if you can do community service. I did that and it drastically lowered the cost and just took away some of my free time. If you have the time, then save some money.

Option 4...pay the tint ticket and also take traffic school for the speeding one. Its more expensive but worth it in the long run. I work for insurance and that is something you do not want to come up. Youll be paying that point for 3 years which is like 5-6 times more than that 1 ticket

____...Cali is expensive, hell a DUI doesn't cost much more than that here. Also you may want to call the DA's office or clerk of courts and see about having it reduced. Every time I get a ticket I just call and it stays off my driving record and the price of the ticket decreases too.

Oh and as far as radar detectors, check out the Valentine V1, Escort 9500 IX, and Escort Redline.

Ouch... The local and state governments are trying to raise money these days.. They are out in force here in NC too..
I usually dont stray too far from the speed limit these days..
If I were you, I would take the drivers ed course to ease things on your record..
Back in the day when I lived in TX.. I had a lawyer who took care of my many speeding tickets.. He was great.. did all the paperwork.. he went to court for me.. officer usually would never show.. so it was dismissed.. Not as easy these days.. or as cheap as it was back then.. Good luck.. be careful out there..

i never heard such a thing. thats crazy! overly priced. I say just go to court. esp if its your first offense, they usually help you out. MD is doing double the speed limit for reckless driving. I got caught with 5pt nd 500ish bucks in one ticket. they knocked it down in half. good luck

Dude... 20 over? That's a bit out of the 'oops, I wasn't paying attention' range.

I think the fine for 16-25 over was around 250 last time I checked (just moved from Cali last July, and had a Kawi Ninja out there. knowing the fines was important to me! Were there other violations/fines attached?

If you're going to speed, you should have the petty cash laying around to pay for it and/or pay an attorney. Such is life. Otherwise slow down... but you don't need me to tell ya that.
