Tow Hitch For Bike Rack
 

I've seen in the threads from years ago that an xD didn't have a good tow hitch. Is there one that fits the xD and where would be a good place to have it installed?

I bought my hitch from autoanything.com. I don't remember the brand, but it is the cheapest one, $100. It's 1 1/4", so any hitch mount bike rack will fit. You should be able to install it yourself with a screwdriver and socket set. It took me 15 minutes to mount mine.

Ive got the curt hitch - was around $140 and was very easy to install

Me too. They sell the tail light converter, too. Works great.
Only issue I have is that the receiver is slightly canted. In your case the rack would lean a bit, trailer doesn't care.
That may only be my hitch, though.
