went to taco bell to get my usual chicken baja chalupa and 3 volcano tacos, and had quite an interesting experience:

pulled up to the window and was handed my pepsi,
me: "thanks"
guy: "hey, what kind of car is that"
me: "its the scion xD"
guy: "oh! wow! is that one of them boom-box cars on the tv?"
me: i guess so?
guy: begins to do a half-assed boogie jig of some sort "you know, like uhn tiss uhn tiss..."
me: you could say so
guy: hands me food, "yeah i heard you can supe those things up and stuff"
me: "yeah, you can. thanks!" started to drive away...
guy: leans out window as im driving away "take care of that car for me!"

definitely something you would want to see in person to have the full effect, but i guess a lot of people still really dont know what the xD is yet.

and i was done pumin gas to i just got in my car and went away..........

My highlight story...

I went to a Honda meet w/ my friend and took the Solara.

guy at meet: damn man! is that a solara?
me: nah dood! i modded my accord to look like a solara! pretty crazy huh?
guy at meet: oh shizz?!? Damn! The shop did a great job. Which shop did you go to?
Me:......... i was just kidding
guy at meet: oh... well that would've been SICK!

yeah, i almost died when i heard the boom-box part... not sure where he got that from (havent really seen any scion commercials though if thats what its from). actually, ive mostly just been seeing ford commercials lately.

 

i think theres a magazine ad with one with fake huge subs coming out of the hatch, or maybe it was a xB

I had a kid with a tC ask me if my car was ''one of the new opel's'' because of my netz emblem lol

 

Lol! Man I haven't had exactly that experience... But I have Hot Lava and I get a lot of good comments about the Hot lava color.

 

ive only seen a hot lava in person once at the dealership, and it was briefly. looks real nice though! ever since i put the ist badges on, people are always asking me what kind of that it is. i probably see one other xD a week driving around. its still pretty rare.
