2009 xD has a terrible noise when I turn left or right..
I have a 2009 xD that has a terrible noise when I turn left or right, not every turn (more right than left) and us usually always if making a sharper turn like when parking. I have noticed as well that if it is a raining or humid day from rainy forecast, it doesn't make a noise.
Also, when I am parked and turn the wheel fully both ways, I have no noise. Not a car mechanic by any means, but wanting a little help with possibilities, if worth getting fixed. currently at 185,000 miles. Been trying to create a new thread with no luck.
Help.

Sounds like dried out ball joints. Might be from the ball joints themselves or tie rod ends. If they're greasable, grease em.
But if they're OE still, chances are they'll need to be replaced.

Does it make same noise when going up & down over bumps?
I suspect wheel-bearings are shot.
Lift wheels off ground and spin them, does it feel rough and crunchy?
Grab top & bottom of wheel and rock it in & out (not push). Is there looseness & play?
