The only advantage you would have in getting them when you buy the car is in installation costs.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but if you buy them when you purchase the car you will only pay cost on the parts.

My dealership quoted me $450 to get my TRD springs installed a few months after I bought it. So, if you plan to get them eventually, I would get them now.

Installation was never included for TRD parts, even if you buy the parts at the same time you buy the car, so it does not matter when you do it.

You can always *try* to get the dealer to install the springs for free as part of the deal for the new car, but there are no guarantees.

Thanks for your advise. I have budget only 500$ to upgrade performance.

1. TRD Lowering Spring + Sway Bar = 500$
2. TRD Shocks and Struts Kit = 500$

Which option do you guys think it's gonna be better with xD.

Thanks ^_^

Springs and sway. Shocks by themselves will not be very noticable.

Sway and springs cost $350 total from TRDSparks.com

I asked my dealer if I wanted any options after I bought the car, how much MORE would it cost. He told me whatever it says in the book, meaning if the sway bar is $260, then that's what they would charge me.

After reading these post, I think he was blowing smoke and telling me this just to sell the car.

But they say the sway bar can be instlaled in about 10 minutes. So I'll just buy it and instlall it myself.

Thanks you all. Today, I was paid a deposit for xD. The xD will come at the dealer within 1 - 2 weeks. I ordered the super white color with basic optiion. ^_^

Actually, I'd plan to install the lowering spring and I thought the price $250 include the labor. But, they said the labor is about $375 to install the spring. ($375=3hrs)
WTF!! So, I forgot about the TRD and find the aftermarket spring on the ebay.

I found this one on eBAY and what's your guys think or you guys have any suggestions to make the xD look better.

Thank a lot.

P.S. My xD's price is $16,674 @ Toyota of Berkeley. ^_^

I also have plan to change the rims.

I like this model but I dont have any idea about the offset ,lug nut sizes and the tire's size. Which tire's size should be good with this rims.

P.S. To me, I like the sport bornze color, How's about you guys? ^_^
