REVIEW:Tein Coilovers on lowest setting

3 Attachment(s)
hey scion xD peeps. its been a while since i last posted something in this forum. so here's my latest project on my car. I just got my coilovers installed today. Its on Tein Basic with 15mm spacers(rear). its not really that stiff, it actually feels better than TRD springs IMHO specially when driving on freeway. Its on lowest setting and its rubbing a bit in the front but its not really that bad. rolled the rear fenders. I would recommend this coilovers for daily driving. :)
sorry no DIY, i took it to a shop to get it installed $180:cool:

(will upload more pics when i get a chance/ upon request/ feedback)

That is a great price honestly for people who rather have shops do it. Is that a chip on the front left driver side wheel?

Since you just installed them.. ride it for a bit and update us again. The truth is racelands were great too for the first 5k miles or so. Then it gets really bumpy so you might see more rubbing on the freeway.

love the look, and thx for that short review. i have tein springs and i love em, so if i ever wanted to upgrade and wasnt given anything special, id surely go with them again for coils.

are you missing a lug on the front drive wheel?

Looks good I like the halo retrofit and have always been a fan of tein coilover systems had a set on my 240 and eclipse and have never had any problems and the ride feels good even when its maxed out like that.

Yea, actually youll see more scratches and chips on the next pictures. The passenger front side wheel is the worst. The guy
Installed it told me im gonna have to raise it up a bit eventually coz the springs will settle and go low a bit more.

I was considering just getting the S-Tech but i have a heavy sub box in the back. Although this set costs 4x than S-Tech, its totally worth it. And i dont think ive seen any bad reviews about TEIN products.

I retrofitted it with some E46 projectors.

Thank you sir. I know. lol. I was preparing my joints to get dislocated coz i was expecting it to be really stiff but when we test drove it the first time i was like "this is nice! O_O" lol

nice stance you got, i've had the basic's for almost 40,000 by this week will hit 40,000. sorry don't have any comparisons since i got the car i had it dropped immediately. and i've only had this set. but yeah no complaints either. and really enjoy the ride on them.

i actually just put a box and sub in the back and it really didnt change much. i kinda gauged it early though cause i always left my huge bag of school books in the back, so its roughly the same weight lol.

I had to get these coilovers coz believe it or not, it saved me about $500 to let the dealer to repair the front suspension system. toyota OEM(front)=$1600 Tein Coils=$1008shipped then $180 for installation. those fog lights are for 2008 Camry(ebay crap, not OEM) just gotta figure out the wirings and fitment. and they cost $50 compare to $150 OEMs
