Welcome to the posting madness. Best thing to do would be to give the Search function a good work out.. As its the best way to find information. I'm sure there is plenty of information on this subject.

Right now I am looking at the following setups: TRD lowering springs and shocks - I like the idea of having the same drop front and back.

FYI, i have the Tokico HPs (blues) on my Yaris. I really like them. I've also had them on a 1998 Civic, too. Good shock for the cash.

Default UPDATE

just finished installing tokicos on my rs 1.0, very happy with ride in conjunction with trd springs.ride firm but not too stiff to cause fillings to fall out of teeth.suprised to find stock shocks starting to seep oil with only 12k miles ,may be related to spring rate from trds not sure but seems little early to seep oil.hope info helps other owners on shock replacement.

I've had my Tokicos with stechs...for the past 26 hours AND THEY ARE GREAT!!... it feels really good driving on the streets...and when i got on the highway on the way to work i was about to scream!... This setup feels very good and it holds the car like a dream. Doing about 100 mph and i could do whatever i wanted with the car!... just a great setup!! THE BEST SETUP FOR THE MONEY!

I hope i'm not hijacking this thread but I am having the EXACT same question that the person who made this thread was having. I have TRD springs on stock factory struts and they will be replaced soon.

My question is though Which should I get? TRD or Tokico?

By the way guys I don't give a damn about ride quality, I just want whatever gives me the better performance. If anyone has any other struts in mind please let me know. I would love to choose adjustible coils by the way but I dont got enough money for that.

Thanks in advance.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. The tokico blues are supposed to be a entry sport shock so I guessed the difference between the trd would be splitting hairs if any. Plus the tokico are $100 cheaper for a set. So if you look at it as shocks plus ( underdrive pulley, or rear swaybar) the tokicos look prefferable for about the same $ spent.

Hows it going.I have had my tokicos blue for about 3months very happy with them, seems to be a good match with trd springs.I have heard trd springs and shocks seem to be very stiff, cant confirm that but my ride firm and Iam very happy with this combo. good luck and other questions let me know.

Guys I think the TRD's are made by Tokico, for some reason they are the exact same shade of blue while most other TRD stuff is a red/orange color combo.
