yep. just run 215/45 and you'll have really minimal rubbing, or maybe none. i had 225's on 17x7+35 on coilovers, and i rubbed only on the bad bumps.

 

I saw some 17x7's with a +40 mm off set. Would 40 be like way too much? i'm guessing the wheels would just be set out a bit farther. Would that be ridiculous looking or what?

 

Other way around, they'd be sunken in further.

Alright guys I got them put on Saturday and they dont rub at all! And on top of that I rode them from Jacksonville to Disney World and they ride great. Thanks for the help!

 

what size tires did you end up going with?

 

you should get helper bags to balance the car out

 

I ended up with 215/45 tires, so they're right in line with stock tire circumference. Almost NO drop in gas mileage, maybe 1 mpg at high mph because of the increased resistance from the wider tire.
