Continental DWS and Kuhmo Solus KH16

Does anyone have either of these on their xD? I have abandoned the Hancook Ventus V4's because they apparently have poor snow traction. The Continental ExtremeContact DWS seems to be the best overall tire for all seasons, especially in snow. The Solus KH16 seems to have an edge over the Continental in dry traction. The Kuhmo is much cheaper but many people say it won't last past 40,000 miles. The DWS also has reduced rolling resistence, which may help with fuel economy. Any thoughts or other tires I should consider?

I don't drive my xD hard at all. The stock Dunlop SP Sport 5000 have a pretty harsh ride. I am looking to improve the ride on my xD, even if I give away some performance. I must have a tire with good snow traction(at least for an all season).

I just put a set of conti DWS on the wifes tC last week, and we just drove home in 5 inches of wet snow without a problem. They aren't cheap, but they're the best non "snow" tire I've ever seen. Most all season tires are made for spring/summer/fall. DWS are made for fall/winter/spring. I'm thinking about getting a cheap set of 18" rims and throwing a set of DWS's on them. Tirerack was selling a 17" for 116$, but wouldn't offer the road protection plan they have on top of conti's 1yr road hazard. So I called discount tire direct and asked them to price match them. They dropped 10$ off their price and did their road hazard plan on top of conti's plan. And the tires have a 50,000 mile warranty. Can't beat that.
