O.G. Black Mamba Thread...Back At It Again!
So I had a busy day today. I installed a TWM SHORT SHIFTER,MUD FLAPS, and DESCENDANT DECALS ............7/30/11
TWM PERFORMANCE SHORT SHIFTER:
The shifter took me about 2 hours to install the directions are on point even for someone like me with no formal mechanical experience. I enjoyed every moment of the install and now my car shifts flawlessly and quickly. The short shifter is tight and not sloppy like the stock shifter and shifts with little effort. Added a couple install pics below.

please excuse the mess!!

2 hours later and im done!!!!!

OEM MUD FLAPS
Install is simple for the rear 2 flaps you need to drill 2 holes on each side 4 holes total Just look for the pre dimpled indentations on the inner fender. the reason why i got them is because my car seems to love to pick up rock and fling them everywhere like right into my paint lmao problem solved and they look great because my car is black so they blend right in.

i also trying to think of how to stick it on the first tube instead of the second
...the second has more room...but if i change it to short then the lose the sticker....
there isnt much room up top because of the MAF sensor
No not at all but does reduce the throw by 30%
check out this video and in my opinion it is worth it 100% the gates for the gears are defined and tight, it shifts so smooth and quick its a must have for a STANDARD i love it!
Today I insulated the AC line got the idea from SCION202 but i took it a step further and added Heatshield CFT Cool Foil Tape. The results are amazing as he stated you only have to turn the AC on 2
and be totaly cool insted of on 3 or 4 and just be ok
. Great job for the DIY SCION202 it works.

BEHIND THE ENGINE

Probably a dumb question, but is this going to make the line so cold that it could freeze up the condensor and or compressor? I think its a great idea, I just wonder if there is any negitive long term effects.... Thanks!
well the main purpose is to keep the heat out and NOT to keep the cold in.
the cold will be as cold as it was initially designed to be. just without the drawback of having a ~300 degree heater next to it

The system is designed to reach roughly 40 degrees F, with the insulation it will do so quicker, which will result in the compressor working less (either by cycling off more often, or reducing its flow if it's a variable displacement type) which will result in less HP loss and better fuel economy. We're simply allowing the system to work more efficiently, it's designed to maintain the ideal operating temperature regardless of circumstances. In high heat it might not be able to reach that 40 degrees, but with the insulation it may.
8/6/11...TINTED TAIL LIGHTS
Let me start off by thanking Superpickel for explaining step by step how to tine my tail lights.
So i used VHT Nite Shades and DUPLICOLOR clear coat and a whole host of other products(check the pics) it came out great its not as dark as it looks. THIS IS NOT A D.I.Y. IF YOU ATTEMPT SO IT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND IM NOT RESPONSIBLE!
