ATTN: Need feedback from tCs with HydraEMS
very nice, i didnt know that hydra has that much acccessories to intergate with the ems, they should put all those details together so hydra users will know the capabilities of the ems..

You better...
ok here's what i found out about the 1 year warranty.. Warranty starts after the unit has been in the position of the hydra dealer, not after the end user purchased the product. I bought the unit June 08 and now I have my unit checked and was told it the warranty is expiring this week! That part sucks, they shouldnt have hydra dealers then and just have all units ordered directly from hydraems.. that way everyone will have a fresh warranty. The good part though is that they warranty hardware for 2 years
now here's what I found on my relay,

the red wire wasnt connected to anything, its supposed to be tapped to 12v constant on power! i've been running low voltage on my hydra the whole time.. anybody knows a good place to tap this?
props to awesome hydra customer support

The wires coming off of my relay, are actually already wired into the harness, for the appropriate 12v constant and ground.

Not really, lol.
I pinpointed a possible problem.
I have PE 800cc injectors, at 14 volts the lag is 1.6 ms
I compared it to others injectors of similar size (800cc), and their lag time is 1ms or less. So basically they open/closer faster than mine.
I got my car to idle, but when I lower the pulse width, it dies if its anything leaner than 12afr.
I wanted to change the injector latency map, so it can be close to what my injectors actually are. But the latency map only goes up to 1.2ms
So that doesn't help.
The only other possibility I see, is to go with low impedance injectors which usually have much lower lag.
I'm probably going to go with RC Engineering 750cc low impedance, denso style injectors. The lag time I think is something like 0.8ms at 14volts. Which is super faster than mine.
So with those I should be able to idle a lot better. So i'm gonna purchase those next paycheck, and then take it to get tuned.
N/A cars turned Turbo cars are a lot of work >.< !!!

I am working on getting some 1000cc injectors in as well that are high impedence drop ins and offer a faster reaction time. I do have that problem with idle on the 800's every once in a while although adjusting the latency time and targeting 13:1 usually solves the problem it's still not optimal. I need bigger ones anyway for later on.

Your injectors aren't so big. So I would imagine the lag time shouldn't be bad at all.
I hooked up the laptop and checked out the voltage on the hydra, with the key in the on position (and engine off).
The voltage is about 11.9-12.0
Once the car is on, the voltage sits at about 13.2-13.3
I forgot to see what the voltage is, when i'm cranking, but i'll take a look at it later.
I'm using an optima yellow top.
Oh and I found the lag on yours ace83.
Denso 550cc
2 ohm Injectors
1.24ms @ 10Volts
1.04ms @ 11Volts
0.87ms @ 12Volts
0.75ms @ 13Volts <== So assuming our voltage at idle is the same. Your injectors are about twice as fast mine =(
0.64ms @ 14Volts
0.55ms @ 15Volts
I'm pretty sure you can use these values under the injector response map. Buttttttt, it'll throw the tune off, so it'll require a retune.
But your car runs fine anyway, so I think you should just leave that map as it is, and not mess with it.

My 2 step launch control should be here on thursday or friday. Same thing that Mike has. I was told by Phil at Element Tuning that will do "no lift "shifting as well. Which he says his STI's see .5 sec or faster times with the "no lift" alone. So 2 step plus no lift should be fun
I'll put up a video as soon as I get it on.
