You can use whatever lens you have available that best suits the purpose. Typically wider-angle lenses will make your life easier for it, so you need less shots to stitch together. For that one I just used my kit lens all the way out at 18mm. That one consists of 5 shots stitched together. You can use Photoshop (File -> Automate -> Photomerge) or a free application called "Autostitch"

I'm playing man. I know we are beyond terrible at basketball. I don't know why those guys even bother anymore. It's sad to see them play. But Purdue is pretty damn good at basketball, props for that.
