That bronze looks HELLA nice ... I think it would really nice on FM too ;)

What did you use to paint them? How difficult? I am doing mine over the winter when I have the good ol' steelies on.

 

 

Im kinda liking both the gold and the bronze (previously posted). A couple of my rims are scratched, and this treatment might be done whenever they get fixed.

 

First off, I used Duplicolor WP 105 Bronze with 2 medium layers of black primer and 4 coats of Duplicolor WP Clear Coat.

It's not too difucult as long as you have painted before. The hard part is sanding and making sure you get in to every nook and cranny. Expect 4-8 hours of work (and that's with a buddy helping).

Depending on how cold your winters get, it might not be a good time to do them. For one the temperature will adversly affect drying time. Second, during the curing time (5 days) you absolutely cannot get them wet.

It's very tedious work. Be ready to dedicate an entire day. But you'll see the extra time taken will show in the final work.
