Speedometer stuck at 0 mph (updated)
Today when I start driving my car and noticed the speedometer need is not moving at all, stuck at 0 mph, (rpm, radio, odometer is fine). I don't know what's wrong, the only thing I noticed is that (when the car is parked, no key) when I open the driver-side door, i heard the clicking sound from the speedometer, and the needle moves a little bit to 20mph and stop...
I hope someone can help my issue..thanks..
Updates: today I notice the fuel and rpm will take a 30 second to move after I turn on the car...

Re: Speedometer stuck at 0 mph (updated)
Strange! My 05 xB is doing the same thing. It has 67000 miles and it started about 2k miles ago. Sporadically it will work again but lately not very often. The fuel gauge and tach also do the same as far as taking a while to register after it is cranked. The tach is also very prone to sticking at weird rpm's, like 100 rpm idle or 3500 rpm idle.
The dealer wants 395.00 for a new cluster. NOT!!! I ordered a Scan Guage II and will rely on it from now on.

i have the same problem with my tC. if i lock it and leave it alone for like 3-4 minutes and then unlock it and open my door i hear clicking and grinding noises from the gauge cluster. The dealership
has no idea what's going on and told me to get a new cluster but that's over 700!! still doing research to see if i can get my own used cluster and program the odometer to match my mileage.

I had this happen with my last vehicle. They said it was when the gauge cluster wasn't lubed properly and now has mal-functioned. They had to get me a new $700+ cluster, free to me under warranty.
