Default Air leak around driver's window glass???

I've been noticing a slight but annoying loose seal/air leak when driving on my tC2. It's on the upper rear corner of the window/door, and I can't seem to isolate exactly where it is coming from. Only happens above about 30 mph. I actually had the dealer replace the window glass track seal, but the noise is still there. Could this be the main seal around the door - or possibly even the glass itself? Any ideas? I don't want to have to by process of elimination have the dealer replace all these parts.

Default Good idea...

Stitches -

Just to clarify - are you saying to put the painter's tape around the outside of the glass - not the door seal - then take small pieces of it off in sections, replacing it if I don't hear the noise - until I isolate it? At least that will tell me if it's the actual window seal and not the door seal itself -

Yeah thats what I meant. Sorry I ramble alot.

But yes that should isolate your air leak down to an area then its figuring out if its weather stripping, door seal or glass (im betting its the door seal)

I have a feeling they all do this. My tC does it too; the rubber seal was replaced around the driver's window which helped, but only marginally. It hasn't bothered me enough to do anything about it since it's never been more than the slightest annoyance. I don't even notice it anymore.

Default Reporting this problem to dealer...

Has anyone other than me reported this issue to your dealer? They will submit a formal service bulletin on it if they get enough feedback. I would definitely contact your dealer and send them a link to this particular thread showing them that others are experiencing the same problem - and it is not isolated to only a few cars.

Only by bringing this to the dealers' attention will anything be done about it.

Please notify your service manager about the problem.

i know i had a similar problem in my 11 but it was a pressure release hole in the door seal in the corner its put there to allow pressure in/out so your car doesnt "pop" everytime you open the door

Default Noise is still not completely gone...

I had the dealer replace the plastic corner trim piece on the inside of the door which contacts the rubber door seal, but I still hear the vibration of that plastic piece it seems - against the rubber seal. If I put a piece of blue painter's masking tape over the plastic corner piece on the door, that seems to stop the noise completely. Wondering if this is simply a case of the rubber not sealing quite tight enough against the door in that area. I'm afraid to have the dealer replace that seal around the entire door opening - looks like a big deal that they could really screw up. Any thoughts?
