Default Clock resets to 1:00 every time i shut the car off

So today I replaced my factory stereo with an aftermarket Kenwood head unit. Everything is good except now my clock resets to 1:00 every time I shut the car off. Anyone know this problem?

Somehow you are not getting constant 12V power to your radio. It's either wired incorrectly or the constant 12V fuse blew. Recheck the connections for the yellow and red wires going into your new radio. The red wire should only show 12V with the key in on the acc/on position, while the yellow wire should always be reading 12V, even without the key.

Ok. So I took the dash apart and just double checked everything and re plugged in the HVAC wire harness. Now it works good. I realized what you were saying about constant 12v current. Cuz the clock in these cars never turns off. Thanks fr the advice
