Hi everyone! I am completely new to Toyota/Scion's until a week ago when I bought a 08' TC with a bad motor for my girl. Have been reading a bunch here to soak in the info on these cars and glad to see such a great following on the cars here. I'm a pretty experienced mechanic / fabricator that has been building turbo SR20's for the last 3 years so hopefully getting this beast on the road won't take too long. I'm pretty excited to get in it and drive one for the first time!

Great, welcome to the forum! Coming from a turbo sr20, a stock tC won't feel all that impressive, but there are several turbo kits that would take care of that. My journey with cars started with Nissans too. I had a 1997 Altima SE, which was 5-speed swapped and eventually ran a turbo on the KA24DE. The car was a lot of fun, and at the time I was playing with ROM editors on a modified OEM ecu. I learned so much from working on that car.
