Hello, I Have a 2008 Scion tC. Today I was pulling out of parking lot and drove over a speed bump not going very fast, right after my stock stereo shut off. First thing I did I checked the fuse box and the ACC fuse was blown. It’s a 7.5 but I replaced it with 10.
That blew also so me being not very bright I put a 39 amp fuse in there and started the car. Radio was finally working, for about 5 seconds until I saw smoke coming from under the dashboard. Now I came to realize that I melted some wires.
I took stereo off cut the gray wire that had melted jacket and ran a 2 conductor (1 for future use) and spliced the g

never go up in amperage on fuses they save the wiring on purpose. but you found out the hard way. that's how you catch your car of fire...
