Default Left lower control arm removal.

Has anyone removed a driver's side lower control arm. Mine need to be replaced because it's cracked (I hit the curb when turning on snowy road).
My concern is there is one long screw and I'm afraid that the oil pan is in the way and won't be able to remove the bolt. Am I right or will I be able to wiggle it out somehow?

Have you been able to replace the left side control arm? I want to do the same but the transmission pan is in the way of the bolt, seems like a real pickle - even if I can wiggle the bolt out can the bolt go back in?

Ok, ended up just jacking the engine up slightly and bolt cleared just fine for anyone that runs into this

Did you have to loosen an engine mount?

No, perhaps mine are slightly worn, I have to mention this is on a Scion xB (didn't realize I was in the wrong thread after a Google search) but it shouldn't matter. Gaining half an inch of clearance was all I needed.

Thanks, that helps a lot! I didn't want to have to mess with the engine mounts. I'm also working on an xB.
