Rear speakers upgrade from 5.25 to 6.5 suggestions?

Rear speakers upgrade from 5.25 to 6.5 suggestions?
Looking to upgrade all speakers in my car.( Only have 2 that are not blown.) Putting some 6.5 focal components in front doors. Want to put some 6.5 focal coax in rear area. OE size on rear speakers are 5.25, I have read that some metal may need to be cut/shaved slightly for 6.5 to fit. Anyone done this before? Pucs? Vids?.. or if you have upgraded to 6.5 on rear, how did you do it? T.i.a
