Default Suspension needs to be replaced on a 2005

The handling on my xA has always been smooth for the most part (knock on wood). But now I’m hearing a noise coming from underneath it just about every time I tap or hit the brakes. So I took it to the shop for an inspection and sure enough there was a problem. The mechanic told me the suspension components were pretty much shot and that’s why I was getting all the noise and that I need to seriously consider replacing the front struts and rear shocks. Which I was somewhat hesitant because I thought it was going to be a rather costly expense until I started searching online for parts. I figure I’d save myself a little extra cash in addition to the cost of labor. While searching ebay I found a seller called apx auto parts. It seems they specialize in suspension parts. And they do have what I need in stock Buy 2030 | 4214-1159, 4214-1159, 3212-0246, 3212-0246,333385, 343426, 72245, 5601. I know I need to make a decision soon but is there anything else I should consider? What do you think?

Rockauto.com is a hard place to beat, price-wise. KYB is having mail in rebates on their shocks/struts until the end of April too.

I haven’t had any issues in the past 15 years...conversely, I refuse to ship through USPS, as they’ve lost 4 out of 6 of the last items mailed to me by my family. So I do understand why some people are gun shy because of other’s issues. The KYB Mail in rebate is still good if you go through another retailer...

I too have had very good luck with RockAuto. Then again, I've never had to return anything to them either. Their prices are very hard to beat even when you throw in shipping too.

BTW, how many miles are on your car? The OEM front struts are easily good for 100,000 miles on xB's. I have this nagging distrust of mechanics I don't know and I don't want to see you throwing parts at a car that doesn't need them.
