Default 07 tC Turbo worth it?

Just pulled my chicks motor from her 07 tC auto, about to tear it down and figure out what happened as it just shut off on her while driving. Is it worth it to throw a little Turbo on it? It's a daily driven car but for a little bump in power?
Thinking about rebuilding (fully built forged internals) while its pulled from the shell. Dont know much about these 2AZ-FE motors........

coming from the Evo world.....

Auto transmission is gonna be an issue for you. It doesn't hold boost well. I've seen people have issues at as little as 250whp. For that hp you wont need to build the engine with forged internals

Any company's offer tranny rebuilds? Build tranny auto or manual swap with custom manifold and shoot for 500ish.

No, looking for a company I can ship the tranny to for rebuilding whether I swap to manual or keep the auto trans. I'll likely build a forward facing manifold and shooting for 500whp

Ah ok I see what you're saying. There is only one guy on here that had a "built" auto transmission and it didnt hold power for ____ he ended up ditching it and going manual. There isnt any companies that sell a "kit" to swap from auto to manual. I'm sure you could source all the parts from a local junkyard.

I would throw a turbo on it, run it about 5psi, and see how long it lasts. If you're able to swap engines, you're able to swap a transmission if it blows.

There are tons of threads on here with proven results/builds. I'd start with doing a little reading on what other people have had success/failures with.
