Default Our RS 5.0 got totaled, What is it worth?

We had #450 of 2500 since we bought it new in 2008. We kept it beautiful and no one ever believed us that it was an 11 year old car.
Unfortunately we had some very slick roads last week and someone crashed into the rear door on the passenger side. Their insurance company declared it a total loss and offered us $5,800 for it.
Carfax says the price from a dealer would be $7,440. Both of those seem to be based on a regular 2008 xB. The Release Series had a factory-installed sunroof, body kit and a special interior.
I can't find one like it for sale in order to get a direct comparison. BTW, it has 88,000 miles on it.

Any ideas how I can fight for more with the insurance company?

Thanks!

Maybe, this might give you a bit more Information on a RS5 vs a Base Model:

"The xB Release Series 5.0 model will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,470 over the base price of the xB. The manual transmission xB has a base MSRP of $15,650,
while the MSRP for automatic transmission model is $16,600. The available color-keyed spoiler has an MSRP of $320."

Thanks @MR_LUV , I still had the bill of sale for $17,500 after taxes and everything. It's nice to know how much more that cost than the base price xB. I sure wish it was still possible to get that much car for under $20,000!

Cars Prices can Vary Widely on many factors: Mileage, Condition, Options..

Check out Sites like this one:

Used 2008 Scion xB Pricing

It looks like there is a RS5 with 118k For Sale.

Also I think it would be difficult to gauge a car that has been Totaled or Salvaged.

Thanks again. We're in the Spokane, WA area and there aren't many xBs for sale around here (this is a pretty truck and SUV heavy area). That one in Seattle appears to be a pretty good match for ours (with higher mileage), and it's about what the CARFAX value report said. Maybe I can find another couple to send to the adjuster. I have a friend who did property insurance adjusting. He was very honest that his job was to get people to settle for the least amount he could reasonably offer, so I know it's worth doing some research and negotiating on this.
