Default April was another blockbuster month for Toyota

... at the same time that GM posted a 90% drop in quarterly net (and GM is going to raise pay for its three top execs. For what? Running the business into the ground?)

Toyota posted a 3.7% increase in sales for its Lexus, Toyota and Scion vehicles versus April last year. Toyota divisional sales were up 2.3%, and Lexus was up 14.1% for the month. Toyota's hybrid gas/electric Prius car--which benefited from incentives last month--posted its best-ever month with sales up 71.8%, per Toyota. Toyota division's smallest car, Yaris, a subcompact launched a year ago, accounted for 7,232 units sold last month.

You ever hear that when an animal is about to die, it goes crazy/ballistic/and runs amok? GM reminds me of an animal that is about to die. With all the new models being introduced, with all the older model "names" being brought back to *TRY* and bring back previous customers - GM is a dying brand and I am sure I will see it's death in my lifetime. American car companies, in general, produce crap and charge a lot for it. It's good to see that the population of the US as a whole is recognizing that you *SHOULD ALWAYS* get bang for your buck - and not rust for your buck like with GM cars.

Anyway, good riddens to bad rubbish. And about the pay raise, the corporate world works that way. Idiots and jerks get promoted and get raises. Makes me feel like I should haev been born an idiot to get a promotion.

If GM went out of business it would further destroy our countrys economy and job markets. There really isnt anything positive that would come out of it. The 90% drop wasnt due to anything auto related if was due to a $910 million loss from residential loans. There are housing problems all over the country with foreclosing homes at record amounts and its hurting the entire loan industry.

i would say that their drop in sales has a little to do with their product, at the very least.
