Default XB Brakes making noise after new pad install!

I just installed my new Axis brake pads about a week and a half ago, but after putting them on I am getting a chirping/squealing noise when I get around 40 MPH. If I just ever so slightly touch my brakes the noise goes away for about 2-3 minutes. When I am on the interstate doing 70 I hear nothing, and when I am stopping I hear nothing and feel no rubbing. I have been checking my rotors and I see not signs of wear on the rotor. I guess the real question is if you guys think that this could be due to the Axis brake pads being a more high performance pad and maybe being a little thicker so it is touching? Any one else have this problem? Please help!!!

Hmmm i just installed new brake pads a month ago with Axxis ULT (Ultimates)

I took out the old brake pads. (Stock Sumitomos)

Pushed the piston in with a clamp of sorts.

Cleaned the old shims with brake cleaner ... wiped them up .. then recleaned the shims again with a 2nd dose of brake cleaner..

Before i reinstalled the shims on the back of the brake pads, I sprayed some sticky anti-squeal spray that needed to set for about 10 minute. Spray the back of the brake pad, the first shim and the second shim.

Reinstalled the brake pads and bleeded the brakes ...

I then did the Bedding in process for the brake pads. No squeal. If you did this correctly then you shouldn't have any sort of squeal at any speed.

Did u follow the break in process exactly? Also the squeek tabs that tell u when the pads get too low, r they set properly? Those r the only things I can think of.

i think you must have installed something wrong. i got the dezod motorsports pacakge (axxis ultimates and powerslot rotors) and the only squeal when i'm braking. otherwise they are as silent as stock because they aren't supposed to be touching.

you should got back and check the rotors and make sure that something isn't mis-aligned and touching the rotors, or maybe even caught inbetween the rotor and pads.

Has anyone noticed a lot of brake dust on the rim after putting on the axis brake pads?

I got a lot of brake dust from the ultimates. But from what ppl have been saying about the Axxis ULT's, you have to wash your wheels once a week atleast. My hubcaps get black.

Did you guys notice a squeaking at around 30-45MPH? I don't get much time to take the pads off and check them during the week. Also when I put them on I made sure to pull them all away from the rotor.

i get squeaking all the time, it comes with the territory of high performance brakes.
