Default Got screwed on ebay by gt1automotive

So I have been lookin for these killer rims and could not find them anywhere. They quit making them and didnot make many in the first place. So I did a search on EBAY and walla found a set available. I get all excited right do the buy now opption and pay $100 more for them than anyone else had them advertised for (but could not get them)
so I get an e-mail asking the bolt pattern. Which made me worry because 4-100 was advertised and that is what I "bought now" So the money comes out of my paypal account $875. That came out on wednesday last week and get an e-mail today (tuesday) that his supplier could not get them. but he has a different style for the same price.

I am so erked because I could have been lookin at other rims the whole time. and my money is in his account with no rims in my possesion. then he tries to pawn off another style to cover up his f up.

this needs to be in the buyer/seller experiences forum i think...

anyway, you should of checked his feedback and always beware of ebay! there are lots of great sellers, but even more scammers.

you need to file a complaint with ebay NOW. the guy may be honest and have every intent on returning your money. the open complain gets ebay and paypal invalved. you do have a time limit so do it now.

today I got an e-mail saying he was sorry and that he would return my money plus $20 for the mistake. Cool right.

Then I get an e-mail from EBAY sayin he filed an unpaid item claim on me.

So now I have to wait till the 12th to file an item not recieved report and copies of the payment confirmations to EBAY to get the unpaid item off of my record.

This is really ____ing me off. because now I have to wait even longer to go and get some rims. which means I won't have them for the meet and greet in three weeks.

!$#%&*@!!

the unpaid item claim is most likely automatically generated. meaning that it is automatically sent out from his account because he has not manually entered that you have paid for the item. most likely because he could not get the wheels. its usually done when the part is shipped. he was obviously having to order them after they were purchased by you. his supplier could not get them either. your best bet is to actually call them.

unpaid item claims are not automatic, the seller does not have to manually enter that payment was recived.

you paid threw paypal right!
can you post a link the the actual listing so i can advise you what to do.
im an ebay seller with a feedback of 226 with only 1 negetive, ive been selling on ebay for a little over 2 years.

i checked out your seller and he seams strait, and he is covered threw paypal buyer protection up to $2000.00. if you paid threw paypal ( i will assume you did ) than you have nothing to worry about. paypal knows you paid and you have proof. open a claim for item not recived just to get things going and so paypal is informed about the problem. you do have a time limit so don't let it slide. if paypal or ebay said you have to wait then just wait. i know it sucks. the big key is open communication.

here is one of my listings.

if you have an ebay store you can set it up to send unpaid item reminders automatically. unless you actually recieved an unpaid item strike from ebay, then most likely it was automatically generated and its a reminder. ebay usually tries to contact you before giving you an unpaid item strike
