Thought I would let peeps know that Pep Boys commercial said buy 3 get the 4th free.
They sell Toyo I think and some other really good tires so it's worth telling you all if you have been thinking about it. With some tires over $150 each it's worth the savings.

yea but you have to buy the road hazzard warranty to get the 3rd tire free. I found this out after buying some tires a few months back from pepboys. I could have bought the same tires cheaper somewhere else and got the warranty free . So read the fine print before buying. Also only certain tires will apply to this deal from what I was told.

On the cheap and stupid? hmmmm that sounds like you have gotten ripped before
I mean no offence but you say cheap but your talking better prices online.
Ignorant is probably a better word to use since I am really smart and posted this thread to be helpfull
Now that I am informed better I guess taking a trip to Pep boys is a waist of time.

nope, not me. i'm just well aware of this scam because my dealership offered it to me, and i asked what tires they had and so on. well, the only tires they had were oem (which suck), expensive, poorly rated, extremely low tread wear index and some summer only tires that would useless for the md cold months. they also came with free rotation for the life of ownership.
so i sat down the crunched the numbers on afternoon and found that if i bought my kumho's off the internet and put them on and paid for rotations every oil change, i'd still save money despite their "savings" also, i could pick whichever tires i wanted. not limited to their crappy selection. i am a very scrutinizing consumer because i don't have enough money to buy stuff and regret it later. so i take my time and do the math.

Good, sounds like what I do most of the time. I mean I got my rims and tires for $750 shipped and balanced
Took me a month of shopping around and online was the best deal but a little bit of a risk.
Maybe this post will help some one after all
