Default wheel+tire weight diffrences?

ok so i'm just wondering what would be lighter and whatnot.

for tires lets stay with Toyo Proxy 4's for now.

now what would be heavier, 12.5lb 17's with 45 series tires or 16.5lb 18's with 35 series?

wheels are forged thus why so light.

look up the tire specs. the tire weights are listed. i believe one of these two lists weights. tirerack.com and or tires.com

they'll probably range from 20lbs and 25lbs. just guesses. look it up!

oh and if you want an opinion on tires....

toyo proxes aren't that good and are VERY overpriced.

and the 17inch combo should be a bit lighter

what would be a good recommened tire then?

for the 18" option i'm actualy thinking about doing 40 series, but i'm worried about the spare, i'm going to get a 5th wheel as a full time spare and get rid of the temp, just don't know if it'll fit.

for 17's it would be 45 ofcourse but i'm really wanting to do the 18's with 40's. looking for all season type tires with atleast a speed rating of 140+. the 18" rims are 18x7.5, so i was thinking of 215 or 225, wide eough to give a little wall.

any ideas? i don't know much about what tire company is good or bad or anything so...

45 series for 17? what a 205/45?

a 20/45 is correct size as well as 215/40.

215/45 is oversized.

toyo has a name but theyre not that great.

for amazing tires look at yokohama/advan . theyre pricey though.

for great well priced tired look at kumho 711's or ast or asx.
