Default Do you want a competition rear sway bar?

Today we went out and tested our sway bars and springs for the Scion on an xB. Here are the results.

Stock xB - no modifications - auto

600 ft Slalom
Top Speed 59.08 MPH - Avg Speed 57.25 MPH

200 ft Skid Pad
Top g's - 0.771 - Avg g's 0.740

Hotchkis xB - auto
Springs, Sway Bars, Strut Brace, 205-35/18 Nitto NeoGen Tires w/ 18x7.5 G-Racing Wheels, AEM intake, JIC Exhaust

600 ft Slalom
Top Speed 64.1 MPH - Avg Speed 62.66 MPH

200 ft Skid Pad
Top g's - 0.81 - Avg g's - 0.79

What we are looking to find out is whether there are a lot of you autocrossing or road racing the xA or xB.

Not to sure about autocrossing or road racing the xB, but I just received a set of Hotchkis sway bars for my xB and it looks like I will get them installed Sat Dec 27th.

I know sway bars make a huge differance in the cars i use to own, I can't wait to get them on the XB.

Why should the autocrossing or road racing folks have all of the fun.

Thanks in advance..

it will take some time for people to really get into the autocrossing, but that is a great improvement.

I had a Comptech Swaybar/Tiebar on my last car, a Civic hatchback--I loved the difference in steering response as well as road feel and just aboutu everything else suspension related with the addition of the sway bar...I love them!

Sadly, I sold the car before it saw any track use, but I really would have loved to get out there, especially with a fresh set of Azenis...!

I'm all for a set of competition sways, I was already planning on picking up the hotchkis set out now, after I recoup from the holiday fund defecit!

What we really need is rear suspension adjustment. Especially toe adjustment. The more you lower the xB, the more it toes in....and understeer sucks.
